MP Free Ration Scheme: Eligibility, Ration Card & How to Apply

The Government of Madhya Pradesh provides free and subsidised ration to eligible families under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013. BPL and Antyodaya families can get free wheat, rice, sugar, and other essential food grains through the Public Distribution System (PDS) at their designated fair price shops.

What is the MP Free Ration Scheme?

Under the NFSA, Madhya Pradesh identifies eligible households through the Samagra portal and provides them with subsidised or free food grains. The scheme covers:

  • Priority Households (PHH): 5 kg food grains per person per month at subsidised rates
  • Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY): 35 kg food grains per family per month at highly subsidised rates
  • PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY): Free food grains extended by the Central government

As of recent government orders, eligible families receive free food grains (wheat at Rs 2/kg, rice at Rs 3/kg, or fully free under PMGKAY extensions).
