Frequently Asked Questions
1. I have 1.5 acres in Haryana. Will I automatically get the ₹4,000/year?
Registration is required — it's not fully automatic. Register on Meri Fasal Mera Byora and confirm with the BAO. Once verified as Kisan Mitra, the amount is credited via DBT.
2. What is PPP (Parivar Pehchan Patra)?
PPP is Haryana's Family ID — a unique 8-digit number assigned to each family. It is mandatory for almost all Haryana state scheme benefits. If you don't have it, apply at your nearest SARAL Centre or CSC.
3. I am a tenant farmer (leased 1.5 acres). Can I qualify?
Yes, tenant farmers can qualify if they are the registered cultivator. You may need a copy of the lease agreement and the land record showing you as the cultivator.
4. My land is registered jointly with my brother — total 4 acres, my share is 2 acres. Am I eligible?
Your individual share of 2 acres makes you eligible as a small farmer. Provide the jamabandi showing your share of the land.
5. Is Kisan Mitra different from PM-KISAN?
Yes. PM-KISAN (central scheme) gives ₹6,000/year to all farmers regardless of land size. Kisan Mitra (Haryana state scheme) gives ₹4,000 additional only to farmers with 2 acres or less, plus free soil testing and priority services.
