  2. Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) — Haryana Family ID (mandatory)
  3. Jamabandi / Fard — land records showing 2 acres or less
  4. Bank passbook — Aadhaar-linked for DBT

How to Apply / Register

Step 1 — Register via PPP / Meri Fasal Mera Byora

Haryana farmers should first register on Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal (mfmb.haryana.gov.in) — the state's crop registration portal. Kisan Mitra eligibility is linked to this registration.

Step 2 — Contact Block Agriculture Officer (BAO)

Visit the Block Agriculture Officer in your block to:

  • Confirm eligibility as Kisan Mitra beneficiary
  • Get soil testing voucher
  • Access extension advisory services

Step 3 — Financial Support Disbursement

After verification of land records and PPP ID:

  • ₹2,000 per season credited to Aadhaar-linked bank account
  • Credited before Kharif (May–June) and Rabi (October–November) seasons

Free Soil Testing

One of the most practical benefits — free soil health testing:

  • Visit the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) or nearest Soil Testing Lab
  • Provide 500g soil sample from your field (from 6-inch depth, multiple spots mixed)
  • Receive Soil Health Card with nutrient levels and fertilizer recommendations
  • Reduces fertilizer waste and improves yields

Priority Access to Agriculture Schemes

Kisan Mitra beneficiaries get priority in:

  • Drip/sprinkler irrigation subsidy (40–80% subsidy)
  • Farm equipment rental at Haryana Agriculture Service Centre
  • Horticulture subsidy for vegetable and fruit cultivation
  • PM Fasal Bima Yojana premium subsidy
  • Subsidized seed distribution

Frequently Asked Questions

1. I have 1.5 acres in Haryana. Will I automatically get the ₹4,000/year?

Registration is required — it's not fully automatic. Register on Meri Fasal Mera Byora and confirm with the BAO. Once verified as Kisan Mitra, the amount is credited via DBT.

2. What is PPP (Parivar Pehchan Patra)?

PPP is Haryana's Family ID — a unique 8-digit number assigned to each family. It is mandatory for almost all Haryana state scheme benefits. If you don't have it, apply at your nearest SARAL Centre or CSC.

3. I am a tenant farmer (leased 1.5 acres). Can I qualify?

Yes, tenant farmers can qualify if they are the registered cultivator. You may need a copy of the lease agreement and the land record showing you as the cultivator.

4. My land is registered jointly with my brother — total 4 acres, my share is 2 acres. Am I eligible?

Your individual share of 2 acres makes you eligible as a small farmer. Provide the jamabandi showing your share of the land.

5. Is Kisan Mitra different from PM-KISAN?

Yes. PM-KISAN (central scheme) gives ₹6,000/year to all farmers regardless of land size. Kisan Mitra (Haryana state scheme) gives ₹4,000 additional only to farmers with 2 acres or less, plus free soil testing and priority services.
