Online Process (via NSDL/Protean)
- Visit the NSDL PAN application portal at onlineservices.nsdl.com
- Select "Form 49A" (for Indian citizens/entities)
- Under "Category of Applicant," select "Hindu Undivided Family (HUF)"
- Fill in the HUF name, Karta details, and address
- Enter the date of HUF deed as the "Date of Birth/Incorporation"
- Upload supporting documents (HUF deed, Karta ID proof, address proof)
- Upload the Karta's photograph and signature
- Pay the fee of ā¹107 (including GST) online via net banking, debit card, credit card, or demand draft
- Submit the form and note the acknowledgement number
- If documents are sent physically, print the acknowledgement, attach documents, and courier to NSDL within 15 days
