Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana – Maharashtra 6-Month Paid Internship Scheme

Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana is a flagship employment scheme launched by the Maharashtra Mahayuti government under Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. It provides 6-month paid internships to unemployed youth in Maharashtra, helping them gain hands-on work experience in government and private sector organisations.

The scheme is managed by the Department of Skills, Employment, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Maharashtra and implemented through the official portal at rojgar.mahaswayam.gov.in.

What is Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana?

This scheme connects unemployed educated youth with employers — both government departments and private companies — for structured 6-month internships. During the internship:

  • Candidates gain real-world work experience in their sector of interest
  • A monthly stipend is paid directly to the candidate's bank account via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT)
  • Employers get access to young, trained talent at zero hiring cost
  • Candidates who perform well often get preference in regular hiring by the same organisation
