Ramai Awas Yojana is a housing scheme by the Government of Maharashtra under the Department of Social Justice and Special Assistance. How to Apply — Step-by-Step

Online Application

  1. Visit Aaple Sarkar portal or the SJSA department portal
  2. Register with your mobile number and create an account
  3. Select Ramai Awas Yojana under Social Justice Department schemes
  4. Fill the application form — personal details, caste, income, land details, bank account
  5. Upload scanned documents — caste certificate, Aadhaar, income certificate, land document, bank passbook
  6. Submit and note the application reference number
  7. Track your application status online

Offline Application

  1. Visit the District Social Welfare Office or Tehsil office
  2. Collect the Ramai Awas Yojana application form
  3. Fill the form and attach self-attested copies of all documents
  4. Submit to the Social Welfare Officer

  6. Verification — officials will inspect your land and verify documents

Disbursement

The financial assistance is typically released in 3 instalments:

  2. Second instalment — after construction reaches lintel level
  3. Third instalment — after completion of the house

Each instalment is released after physical verification by the concerned officer.

  • Construction completion deadline: 12-18 months from first instalment

No fees are charged for the application. The scheme is entirely free.
