Common Problems and Solutions

1. Payment Not Received

Possible reasons:

  • e-KYC not completed — complete it immediately
  • Aadhaar not linked to bank account — visit your bank to link Aadhaar
  • Bank account is inactive or closed — update bank details on PM Kisan portal
  • Land records not verified by state government
  • Name mismatch between Aadhaar and bank account

Solution: Check your status on the portal first. If it says "Payment Failure," the issue is likely with your bank account or Aadhaar linking.

2. Name Mismatch Error

Your name must match exactly across:

  • PM Kisan registration
  • Aadhaar card
  • Bank account

Solution: If there's a mismatch, update your name in the mismatched document. Visit your bank to update your name, or apply for an Aadhaar correction.

3. e-KYC Failed or OTP Not Received

Common causes:

  • Mobile number not linked to Aadhaar
  • Aadhaar number entered incorrectly
  • Server busy — try again after some time

Solution:

  • Check if your mobile number is linked to Aadhaar by visiting the UIDAI website
  • If not linked, visit an Aadhaar enrolment centre to update your mobile number
  • Try e-KYC via CSC using biometric verification instead

4. Status Shows "Pending for Approval"

This means your local (state/district) authority hasn't verified your application yet. You can:

  • Contact your Village Level Entrepreneur (VLE) or Patwari
  • Call the PM Kisan helpline: 155261 or 011-24300606
  • Visit your district agriculture office

5. "Aadhaar Not Seeded in Bank Account"

This means your Aadhaar is not linked to your bank account for DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

Solution: Visit your bank branch with your Aadhaar card and ask them to seed your Aadhaar to your bank account. This usually takes 1–3 working days.
