PM Kisan Samman Nidhi gives ₹6,000 per year (₹2,000 Ɨ 3 instalments) directly to farmers' bank accounts. The 21st instalment was released on 19 November 2025.

How to Check PM Kisan Beneficiary Status

Follow these steps to check if you are a registered PM Kisan beneficiary:

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click on "Know Your Status" (under Farmers Corner)
  3. Enter your Registration Number or Aadhaar Number or Mobile Number
  4. Enter the captcha and click Get Data
  5. Your beneficiary status will show — registered, pending, rejected, etc.

What the status means:

  • Approved — Your application is accepted. You will receive payments.
  • Pending at State/District — Your application is still being verified by the state government.
  • Rejected — Your application was rejected. Check the reason and fix it (see below).

How to Check PM Kisan Instalment Status

To check which instalment you received and the exact date and amount:

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click "Know Your Status"
  3. Enter your Aadhaar or Registration Number
  4. After your details load, you will see a list of all instalments — which ones were paid, the amount (₹2,000 each), and the date of transfer
  5. If any instalment shows "FTO is generated and Payment confirmation is pending", the money is on its way — check your bank in 2–3 days

How to Find Your Name in Beneficiary List (Village/District Wise)

You can check if your name is in the PM Kisan beneficiary list for your village:

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in/BeneficiaryList.aspx
  2. Select your State
  3. Select your District
  4. Select your Sub-District (Tehsil/Taluk)
  5. Select your Block
  6. Select your Village
  7. Click Get Report
  8. A list of all beneficiaries in your village will appear — search for your name

If your name is not in the list but you have registered, your application may still be pending or rejected. Check your status using the method above.


PM Kisan eKYC — How to Complete (Mandatory)

eKYC is mandatory for all PM Kisan beneficiaries. Without eKYC, your payment will be stopped.

Option 1: OTP-Based eKYC (Online — Easiest)

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in
  2. Click on "eKYC" under Farmers Corner
  3. Enter your Aadhaar Number and click Search
  4. An OTP will be sent to the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar
  5. Enter the OTP and submit
  6. Your eKYC is done āœ…

Option 2: Biometric eKYC (At CSC Centre)

If your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar or you are not receiving OTP:

  1. Visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC)
  2. Carry your Aadhaar card
  3. Give your fingerprint or iris scan for biometric verification
  4. The CSC operator will complete your eKYC

Important: If your eKYC is not done, your instalment payment will be withheld. Complete it as soon as possible.


PM Kisan Payment Rejected — Common Reasons

If your PM Kisan payment was rejected or failed, here are the most common reasons:

  1. eKYC not completed — This is the #1 reason now. eKYC is mandatory.
  2. Aadhaar-bank account mismatch — Your Aadhaar is not linked to the bank account in your PM Kisan registration, or the name does not match.
  3. Wrong bank account or IFSC code — Incorrect bank details entered during registration.
  4. Land records not verified — State government has not verified your land ownership records.
  5. Ineligible farmer — You fall under the exclusion criteria (government employee, income taxpayer, institutional landholder, etc.)
  6. Duplicate registration — More than one family member registered (only one member per family is eligible).
  7. Land acquired after 01-02-2019 — The government is verifying farmers who got land after the scheme cutoff date.
  8. Bank account closed or inactive — Your registered bank account is no longer active.
  9. Aadhaar number incorrect — Wrong Aadhaar number entered during registration.

How to Fix Rejected PM Kisan Payment

Step 1: Find the Rejection Reason

  • Go to Know Your Status on pmkisan.gov.in
  • Check the exact reason shown against your rejected instalment

Step 2: Fix Based on the Reason

Step 3: Wait for Next Cycle

After fixing the issue, your payment will be processed in the next instalment cycle. It may take 1–2 months.


How to Correct Details — Name, Bank Account, Aadhaar Number

If your details are wrong in PM Kisan records, you can update them:

Update Aadhaar Number

  1. Go to pmkisan.gov.in/UpdateAadharNoByFarmer.aspx
  2. Enter your old incorrect Aadhaar or Registration Number
  3. Enter your correct Aadhaar number
  4. Submit and verify with OTP

Update Bank Account

  1. Log in to the PM Kisan portal
  2. Go to "Updation of Self Registered Farmer"
  3. Select Edit Bank Details
  4. Enter new bank account number and IFSC code
  5. Submit — the change will be verified before next payment

Update Name or Other Details

  • For name correction, contact your State Nodal Officer or visit the local agriculture office
  • You can also call the PM Kisan helpline (see below)
