PM Vishwakarma Yojana — How to Apply, Benefits, Eligibility for Artisans & Craftsmen

What is PM Vishwakarma Yojana?

PM Vishwakarma Yojana is a Central Government scheme launched on 17th September 2023 by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The scheme is designed to support traditional artisans and craftsmen (called "Vishwakarmas") across India.

The scheme provides end-to-end support — from recognition and skill training to modern tools, affordable credit, and help with digital marketing. The total budget for PM Vishwakarma is ₹13,000 crore for the period 2023-24 to 2027-28.

It is implemented by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

In simple words: If you are a carpenter, blacksmith, tailor, potter, or any traditional craftsperson working with your hands, this scheme can give you training, tools, and a low-interest loan to grow your work.
