Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1: Is Rajshri Yojana available for a third girl child?
No, the scheme covers only the first two girl children of the family. If the first two are girls and both are registered, the third girl child is not eligible.
Q2: What if the girl is born in a private hospital?
The private hospital must be registered under JSY (Janani Suraksha Yojana). If it is, the birth qualifies. If not, the 1st instalment may not be processed. Government hospital delivery is recommended.
Q3: Can the father's bank account be used?
The scheme prefers the mother's bank account. However, if the mother doesn't have an account, the father's Aadhaar-linked account can be used.
Q4: What if we move to another state?
Rajshri Yojana is a Rajasthan-specific scheme. If the family moves out of Rajasthan permanently, subsequent instalments may not be disbursed. The child must continue education in Rajasthan.
Q5: Is this scheme available along with Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana?
Yes, Rajshri Yojana benefits can be availed along with central schemes like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. There is no restriction on combining benefits.
Q6: What documents are needed for the Class 12 instalment?
For the 6th instalment (₹25,000), you need the Class 12 marksheet/passing certificate, school verification, and the Rajshri ID. The girl must have passed from a Rajasthan government or recognised school.
