How to Request SBI Cheque Book Online
Method 1: Via YONO SBI App
- Open the YONO SBI app and log in
- Tap Service Requests from the menu
- Select Cheque Book Request
- Choose your account number
- Select number of leaves: 25 leaves or 50 leaves
- Confirm the delivery address (branch or registered address)
- Submit the request
- Note the reference number for tracking
Method 2: Via SBI Net Banking (OnlineSBI)
- Log in to www.onlinesbi.sbi
- Go to e-Services ā Cheque Book Request
- Select the account number
- Choose the number of cheque leaves (25 or 50)
- Select delivery mode: Branch pickup or Postal delivery
- Click Submit
- Save the acknowledgement reference number
Method 3: Via SMS
Send an SMS from your registered mobile number:
SMS format: CHQBK <Account Number> to 567676
Example: CHQBK 12345678901 to 567676
The cheque book will be dispatched to your home branch for collection.
Method 4: Via SBI ATM
- Insert your SBI debit card at any SBI ATM
- Enter your PIN
- Select Other Services or More Options
- Select Cheque Book Request
- Choose the account and confirm
Method 5: Visit SBI Branch (Offline)
- Visit your SBI branch
- Fill the cheque book requisition slip (available at the counter)
- Submit with your account number and signature
- Collect the cheque book when ready (usually 3-5 days)

CTS-2010 Cheque Format
All SBI cheques follow the CTS-2010 (Cheque Truncation System) format mandated by RBI:

- Machine-readable: MICR code at the bottom for automated processing
- Standard size: 8" Ć 3.66" (CTS-2010 standard dimensions)

- Keep cheque books secure ā treat blank cheques like cash; never pre-sign cheques
- Write "A/C Payee" crossing on cheques to ensure they can only be deposited, not encashed
- Use blue or black ink only when writing cheques ā other colours may cause rejection
- Do not overwrite ā corrections on cheques lead to rejection; write a new cheque instead
- Record cheque numbers ā maintain a register of cheque numbers issued for tracking
