Rythu Bima is a life insurance scheme by the Government of Telangana providing ₹5,00,000 life insurance coverage to farmers. In case of a farmer's death (natural or accidental), the insurance amount is paid to the nominee. The premium is fully paid by the state government — farmers pay nothing.

Enrollment

- Update nominee: Ensure your nominee details are correctly recorded
- New enrollment: If not enrolled, visit the mandal Agriculture Extension Officer with your Pattadar passbook and Aadhaar
Filing a Claim
- Report death: The family should report the farmer's death to the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) or Agriculture Extension Officer within 30 days
- Submit documents: Provide death certificate, nominee's Aadhaar, bank passbook, and Pattadar passbook
- AEO verification: The Agriculture Extension Officer verifies the claim
- Claim forwarded: The claim is forwarded to the insurance company (LIC)
- Processing: LIC processes the claim
