What is Mahtari Vandan Yojana?

Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a welfare scheme launched by the Chhattisgarh government to provide financial assistance of ₹1,000 per month (₹12,000 per year) to married women in the state. The word "Mahtari" means mother in the Chhattisgarhi language, and the scheme aims to empower women financially and promote their economic independence.

The amount is transferred directly to the woman's bank account through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) on a monthly basis.
