Frequently Asked Questions

1. I am from Kerala and SECC listed. My treatment is in Chennai. Does KASP cover it?

Yes. PM-JAY (and KASP) is portable. Any KASP/PM-JAY empanelled hospital in any Indian state accepts your Ayushman card.

2. I am not in SECC but very poor. Can I enroll?

Kerala has expanded PM-JAY beyond SECC to include additional beneficiaries through state expansion. Contact your nearest Kerala Health Mission district office or Akshaya Centre for alternative enrollment routes.

3. My mother needs a kidney transplant. Is ₹5 lakh enough?

Kidney transplants can cost ₹5–15 lakh. Under KASP, the Kerala state may provide additional top-up for organ transplants. Approach the hospital's KASP help desk and the Kerala Health Mission for pre-authorization of enhanced limits.

4. I have an Ayushman card but my name is wrong. How to correct it?

Visit your nearest Akshaya Centre or District KASP office with your Aadhaar (which has the correct name) for name correction in the beneficiary database.
