What is KVS Teacher Recruitment?
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) recruits teachers for over 1,250 Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) across India and abroad. KVS hires for three categories of teaching positions โ PGT (Post Graduate Teacher), TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher), and PRT (Primary Teacher). These are Central Government positions with excellent pay, benefits, and job security.
KVS also recruits for non-teaching positions like Vice Principal, Finance Officer, and other administrative roles.
Who is Eligible?
PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) โ Classes 11-12
- Qualification: Master's degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks
- B.Ed from a recognized university
- Age: 40 years maximum (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD as per government rules)
- Subjects: English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Commerce, Computer Science
TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) โ Classes 6-10
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree with the relevant subject and at least 50% marks in aggregate
- B.Ed from a recognized institution
- CTET Paper II qualified (desirable)
- Age: 35 years maximum
- Subjects: English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Sanskrit
PRT (Primary Teacher) โ Classes 1-5
- Qualification: Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 50% marks AND 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR 4-year B.El.Ed OR 2-year B.Ed
- CTET Paper I qualified
- Age: 30 years maximum
PRT (Music)
- Bachelor's degree in Music or equivalent diploma from a recognized institution
- Age: 30 years maximum
