What is Mission Shakti?
Mission Shakti is a flagship women empowerment programme of the Government of Odisha, launched in 2001 to promote self-reliance among women through Self-Help Groups (SHGs). The programme has been elevated to a full-fledged department ā the Mission Shakti Department ā making Odisha one of the first states in India to have a dedicated department for women's SHGs.

Who is Eligible?
For SHG Formation
- Women aged 18 years and above residing in Odisha
- Must be willing to form a group of 10-20 women from the same village/ward

How to Join or Form a Mission Shakti SHG
Step 1: Form a Group

Step 2: Register the SHG

- Collect the SHG registration certificate
Step 3: Access Financial Support
