PAN Card Correction Online: Fix Name, DOB & Father's Name

If your PAN card has an incorrect name, wrong date of birth, or a misspelled father's name, you can correct it online without visiting any office. The process is available through two official portals — Protean (formerly NSDL) and UTIITSL.

Common Issues and Fixes

"PAN details do not match" error

Ensure you're entering your name and DOB exactly as they appear on your current PAN card, not the corrected version.

Application rejected

Usually happens when uploaded documents are blurry or don't match the correction requested. Reapply with clearer documents.

Didn't receive the corrected PAN card

Check status online. If dispatched but not received, contact Speed Post or request a reprint from the NSDL/UTIITSL portal.
