Key benefits:
- No cylinder booking or waiting
- Continuous gas supply 24Ć7
- Cheaper than LPG (ā¹5-8 per unit savings approximately)
- Safer ā lighter than air, disperses quickly

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is PNG cheaper than LPG?
Yes. PNG costs approximately ā¹30-45 per SCM (Standard Cubic Metre). An average household uses 10-15 SCM per month, costing ā¹300-675 compared to ā¹800-900 for an LPG cylinder.
Q2: Can I apply for PNG if I live in a rented house?
Yes, but you need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the property owner along with the rent agreement.
Q3: Is the security deposit refundable?
Yes. The security deposit (ā¹1,500-2,000) is fully refundable when you surrender the connection.
Q4: What if PNG pipeline is not available in my area?
You can register your interest on the company website. Once the pipeline reaches your area, you will be contacted. Check PNGRB for CGD authorization details.
Q5: Is PNG safe for high-rise buildings?
Yes. PNG is supplied through regulated pressure pipelines and is safe for high-rise buildings. Natural gas is lighter than air, so it disperses quickly in case of any leak.
Q6: Can I have both PNG and LPG connections?
Yes, there is no restriction. However, PNG eliminates the need for LPG in most cases.
Q7: How is billing done for PNG?
Billing is based on meter reading, similar to electricity bills. You receive monthly or bi-monthly bills that can be paid online.
