What is UP ODOP Scheme?

One District One Product (ODOP) is Uttar Pradesh's flagship scheme to promote, preserve, and scale up the signature craft or product of each district — Varanasi silk, Agra leather, Bijnor handloom, Mirzapur carpet, Lucknow chikankari, and 70+ more. Each of UP's 75 districts has one promoted product.

Launched in 2018, ODOP provides artisans and entrepreneurs with training, tools subsidy, marketing support, and preferential credit.

How to Apply

Step 1 — Register on ODOP Portal

Go to odopup.in:

  • Register as individual artisan / enterprise
  • Select your district and ODOP product
  • Upload Aadhaar, bank details, craft details

Step 2 — Apply for Training

  • Training application opens periodically through DIC (District Industries Centre)
  • Training is organized at craft clusters and government facilities

Step 3 — Apply for Loan / Subsidy

After training certificate:

  • Apply for ODOP margin money subsidy at DIC
  • Bank loan facilitated through empanelled banks
  • Subsidy credited to loan account directly

Step 4 — Market Access

After production starts:

  • List products on ODOP Bazaar (odopup.in)
  • Apply for GeM seller registration (gem.gov.in)
  • Participate in ODOP exhibitions held quarterly across UP

ODOP Common Facility Centres

Government-run Common Facility Centres in craft clusters provide:

  • Modern machinery (brass casting, leather stitching, carpet weaving, etc.)
  • Quality testing labs

  • Shared use at nominal charge

1. I make chikankari in Lucknow. How do I apply for the ODOP scheme?

Register at odopup.in — select Lucknow — Chikankari. Then contact the District Industries Centre (DIC) Lucknow for training enrollment and toolkit distribution.

2. Can I sell my ODOP products online?

Yes. ODOP portal has an e-commerce marketplace. You can also register on Amazon, Flipkart, and GeM. Training on online selling is provided at Common Facility Centres.

3. I want to start a small pottery unit in Khurja. Can ODOP give me a loan?

Yes. Khurja's ODOP product is pottery. You are eligible for the ₹5 lakh interest-free loan and 25% margin money subsidy. Apply at DIC Bulandshahr.

4. My product has a GI tag. What additional support does ODOP give?

ODOP supports GI-tagged products with marketing at national/international exhibitions, brand development, and e-commerce listing under official GI branding.

5. Can a women's SHG apply collectively for ODOP benefits?

Yes. Women's SHGs working in craft production can apply collectively for subsidized CFCs, group training, and bulk market linkage under ODOP.
