What is Ambedkar DBT Voucher Yojana?

Ambedkar DBT Voucher Yojana is a Rajasthan state scheme that provides monthly rent assistance to SC/ST/OBC/EWS students who leave their villages to study in divisional headquarters cities (Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Ajmer). Frequently Asked Questions

1. I am an OBC student studying BTech in Jaipur but I come from Sikar. Am I eligible?

Yes. You are migrated to Jaipur (a divisional HQ) from outside, studying in a recognized institution, and belong to OBC — you are eligible. Check that your family income is below ₹1.5 lakh/year and you are not staying in a government hostel.

2. I am already in a government hostel. Can I also claim the voucher?

No. If you are provided government hostel accommodation, you are not eligible for the DBT voucher — you are already receiving housing support.

3. I study in Kota coaching. Do I qualify?

The scheme is for students enrolled in recognized colleges/universities, not just coaching institutes. If you are also enrolled in a college in Kota, and the coaching is concurrent, discuss with the college. Pure coaching students without college enrollment are not eligible.

4. Can I change my accommodation address after applying?

Yes, but you need to update the portal with the new rent agreement. The voucher is linked to your accommodation status.

5. Is this the same as the post-matric scholarship?

No. This is a separate rent/accommodation voucher scheme on top of the post-matric scholarship. You can receive both if eligible.
