AP Koushalam Scheme 2025 – Work From Home Jobs for Educated Youth in Andhra Pradesh
AP Koushalam is an employment initiative launched by the Andhra Pradesh (TDP) government under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The scheme bridges unemployed educated youth with national and international companies, enabling them to work from home using a laptop, mobile, or computer with internet connectivity.
The scheme is part of the AP government's broader effort to address educated unemployment — particularly for candidates who have completed education between 10th standard and postgraduate level but are yet to find employment.
What is AP Koushalam?
Koushalam means skill or expertise in Telugu. The scheme aims to:
- Identify unemployed educated youth across Andhra Pradesh through a state-wide survey
- Validate and assess their skills through qualifying examinations
- Match successful candidates with companies willing to offer work-from-home positions
- Provide economic empowerment, especially to candidates in rural and semi-urban areas who cannot relocate for employment
Eligibility Criteria
| Criteria | Details |
|---|---|
| State | Andhra Pradesh resident |
| Education | 10th pass to Postgraduate (PG) |
| Employment status | Unemployed or underemployed |
| Equipment | Must have access to laptop/desktop/mobile + internet at home |
There is no strict age bar published officially — the scheme targets the broad educated unemployed youth population.
How the Scheme Works — Step by Step
Step 1: State-Wide Survey and Registration
The AP government conducts a state-wide household survey to identify and register eligible unemployed youth. Over 27.92 lakh youth registered in the initial phase, with 16.46 lakh undergoing validation as of late 2025.
Step 2: Validation
Registered candidates' educational qualifications and employment status are verified by local officials. Candidates with valid credentials proceed to the qualifying exam stage.
Step 3: Qualifying Examination
After validation, candidates appear for a qualifying examination to assess their aptitude and basic digital skills. This determines which type of work-from-home roles they are suitable for.
Step 4: Company Matching and Employment
Candidates who clear the qualifying exam are matched with companies (national and international) that have registered on the scheme portal to hire WFH employees. The government shares candidate details with these companies, who then onboard suitable candidates for remote work.
Type of Work Offered
Work-from-home roles under Koushalam are primarily digital in nature, including but not limited to:
- Data entry and processing
- Customer support (voice and non-voice)
- Online form filling and backend operations
- Digital content and transcription work
- Remote assistance roles with private and public sector employers
The specific work and compensation depend on the company the candidate is placed with. AP Koushalam is a placement-focused scheme — it is not a fixed monthly stipend scheme like NTR Bharosa or Thalliki Vandanam.
Documents Required for Registration
- Aadhaar card (mandatory for identity verification)
- Educational qualification certificates (10th marksheet up to highest qualification)
- Residence proof (ration card, voter ID, or utility bill)
- Bank account details (for any future direct benefit transfers)
- Passport-size photograph

- Look for the Koushalam registration link during the active survey/registration window
- Enter your Aadhaar number, personal details, and educational qualifications
- Submit and note your registration/application ID
- Await local validation and qualifying exam notification
Note: Registration windows are opened by the government periodically. If the registration portal is not active, check the AP government's official website or your local ward/village secretariat for the current status.
Current Status (2026)
- The initial state-wide survey was completed by October 2025
- Qualifying examinations commenced after validation of 16.46 lakh candidates
- The scheme is in the employment matching phase, with candidate data being shared with registered companies
- Further registration batches are expected to be announced
Key Differences from Other AP Schemes
| Scheme | Benefit Type | Target |
|---|---|---|
| AP Koushalam | WFH job placement | 10th–PG unemployed youth |
| AP Yuva Vikasam | Skill development + job linkage | Youth with skill training |
| Haryana Saksham Yuva | Monthly unemployment allowance | Graduate unemployed youth |
| NTR Bharosa | Monthly pension | Elderly, widows, disabled |
Koushalam is unique in that it directly links candidates with private employers for remote work — it is not an allowance scheme, but a job placement scheme.
