What is Ayushman Bharat Health Card?

Ayushman Bharat Health Card (also called PMJAY card or Ayushman card) is issued under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) scheme. It gives eligible families health insurance cover of ₹5 lakh per year for secondary and tertiary hospitalisation. Ayushman Bharat covers the entire family as listed in the SECC database. To add a new family member:

3. Provide the new member's Aadhaar card for eKYC
4. If the new member is listed in the SECC family data, their card will be generated
5. For newborns, carry the birth certificate and parent's Ayushman card
