How Banglar Yuva Sathi Differs from Existing West Bengal Youth Schemes

West Bengal already runs youth-focused programmes like Yuvashree Arpan and Yuva Utsaha. Here is how the new scheme compares:

Feature Banglar Yuva Sathi Yuvashree Arpan
Monthly Amount ₹1,500 ₹1,500
Age Group 21–40 years 18–45 years
Duration Up to 5 years 1 year (renewable)
Education Class 10 pass Varies by category
Can overlap? No — exclusive No — exclusive

The key difference is the 5-year duration and structured DBT mechanism of Banglar Yuva Sathi, making it a longer-term support system for unemployed youth compared to the annual renewal model of Yuvashree.

Important: You cannot receive benefits from both Banglar Yuva Sathi and Yuvashree Arpan/Yuva Utsaha simultaneously. If you are already enrolled in one of those schemes, you are not eligible for this scheme.
