What is Delhi Widow Pension Scheme?

The Delhi Widow Pension Scheme provides a monthly pension of ₹2,500 to widowed women residing in Delhi. Administered by the Department of Social Welfare, Government of NCT of Delhi, this scheme supports women who have lost their husbands and need financial assistance.

Who is Eligible?

1. Marital Status: Must be a widow (husband deceased)

How to Apply

Online (e-District Delhi)

1. Visit edistrict.delhigovt.nic.in
2. Register / Login
3. Select "Widow Pension" under Social Welfare
4. Fill the application form: personal details, husband's death details, income, bank account
5. Upload documents (death certificate, Aadhaar, residence proof)
6. Submit and save application ID
7. Track status online

Offline

1. Visit the District Social Welfare Office or SDM Office
2. Collect the application form
3. Fill and attach all documents
4. Submit and get acknowledgement receipt

Processing Time

• Verification: 30-45 days (field verification by inspector)
• Approval: After verification
• First Payment: 1-2 months after approval
• Ongoing: Monthly via DBT
