What is the iKhedut Portal?

iKhedut (meaning "I am a farmer") is Gujarat government's single online window that brings together 75+ agricultural and allied schemes for farmers across multiple departments. Instead of visiting different offices for different schemes, farmers can apply for all agricultural benefits at one portal.

Who Can Use iKhedut?

Any farmer in Gujarat who:

• Has agricultural land (own or leased) in Gujarat
• Has an Aadhaar card
• Has a 8A land record (7/12 equivalent in Gujarat) showing cultivator status

How to Apply on iKhedut — Step by Step

Step 1 — Register on Portal

Go to ikhedut.gujarat.gov.in:

1. Click "Farmer Registration"
2. Enter your Aadhaar number
3. OTP verification
4. Fill basic farmer details (land survey number, village, taluka)
5. Complete registration

Step 2 — Browse Available Schemes

After registration, browse the scheme list:

• Filter by category (crop, animal husbandry, irrigation, etc.)
• Check eligibility criteria for each scheme
• Note the application deadline (many schemes have annual windows)

Step 3 — Apply for Scheme

Click on the scheme and apply:

• Fill required details
• Upload supporting documents (land records, Aadhaar, bank details, photos)
• Submit application

Step 4 — Application Number

Note your Application Number — you'll need this to track status.

Step 5 — Field Verification

For equipment/infrastructure schemes, the Agriculture Officer verifies your application and field.

Step 6 — Subsidy Disbursement

After verification and approval, subsidy is credited directly to your Aadhaar-linked bank account via DBT.

Key Individual Schemes on iKhedut

Drip/Sprinkler Irrigation (PMKSY-PDMC):

• 45–55% subsidy for small/marginal farmers
• Up to 65% for SC/ST farmers
• Apply during October–March window each year

Tractor Subsidy (RKVY):

• 25–50% subsidy on tractor purchase
• Limited seats per district — early application recommended

Mini Dal Mill / Oil Expeller:

• 50% subsidy for SC/ST women farmers

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Do I have to visit any office after applying on iKhedut?

For most schemes, yes — a field verification visit by Agriculture Officer is required after online application. You don't need to go to an office, but the officer will visit your farm.

2. I applied last year and the application is still pending. What to do?

Log in to iKhedut → My Applications → Check status. If "pending at department," contact your Taluka Agriculture Officer with your application number for follow-up.

3. Can I apply for multiple schemes at the same time?

Yes. You can apply for multiple schemes simultaneously on iKhedut. There is no restriction on applying for multiple schemes for different activities.

4. I don't have internet. Can someone else apply for me?

Visit any Common Service Centre (CSC / Jan Seva Kendra) in your taluka. The VLE can apply on your behalf on the iKhedut portal.

5. I have 10 acres of land. Are there any exclusions?

Most schemes have a per-farmer area cap (e.g., drip irrigation: maximum 5 hectares). Large landholders may be ineligible for some specific components but can apply for others.
