What is Karnataka Vidyasiri Scholarship?

The Vidyasiri Scholarship is a financial assistance programme by the Karnataka Backward Classes Welfare Department for students from backward classes pursuing higher education. The scheme provides hostel fees, food allowance, and monthly stipends to students from OBC, SC, and ST categories who are studying away from home.

The goal is to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent meritorious students from disadvantaged backgrounds from accessing quality higher education. The scholarship covers students from PUC (Pre-University) to postgraduate and professional courses.

No, the scholarship is only for students studying in recognised institutions within Karnataka. For studies outside Karnataka, check central government scholarships.
