Frequently Asked Questions

1. I delivered at a private hospital. Can I still get the KCR kit?

No. KCR Kit is available only for deliveries at government hospitals. Private hospital deliveries are not covered.

2. Is the ₹13,000 / ₹12,000 cash in addition to JSY (Janani Suraksha Yojana)?

Yes. KCR Kit cash incentive is a state scheme separate from JSY (a central scheme). You may receive both — JSY incentive and KCR Kit cash — for the same delivery.

3. My delivery was 3 months ago at a government hospital. I didn't get the kit. What can I do?

Contact the Medical Superintendent of the hospital where you delivered. Inform the Hospital Manager or ASHA worker. In genuine missed cases, the hospital may provide the kit and process the cheque retrospectively.

4. Do I have to apply for this before delivery?

No application is needed. Register your pregnancy with the ASHA/ANM and deliver at the government hospital — the kit and cheque are automatic.
