What is Krishak Bandhu?
Krishak Bandhu — meaning "Friend of Farmers" — is the West Bengal government's flagship agricultural support scheme providing ₹10,000 per year to all land-owning farmers as direct farm investment assistance — without any income limit.
Additionally, Krishak Bandhu provides death-cum-accidental insurance of ₹2 lakh per enrolled farmer.

- Submit: Death certificate, farmer's Aadhaar/Krishak Bandhu ID, insurance claim form
- The insurance amount (₹2 lakh) is paid to the nominee/legal heir

Yes — Krishak Bandhu is a state scheme; PM-Kisan is central. Both provide separate farm support. A West Bengal farmer can receive PM-Kisan ₹6,000/year AND Krishak Bandhu ₹10,000/year.
