What is Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana?
Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana (also known as Sambal Yojana) is a comprehensive welfare scheme by the Madhya Pradesh government for unorganized sector workers. The scheme provides a safety net covering accidental insurance, education support, funeral assistance, maternity benefits, and more — all under one umbrella.
The scheme was originally launched as Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Yojana and later restructured. It is managed through the Sambal portal where eligible workers can register and claim benefits using a Sambal Card / Shramik Card.
Who is Eligible?
- Worker type: Must be an unorganized sector worker (daily wage laborer, construction worker, street vendor, rickshaw puller, domestic worker, agricultural laborer, etc.)
- Domicile: Must be a permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh
- BPL/Low income: Must be from Below Poverty Line (BPL) family or have income below prescribed limit
- Age: 18 to 60 years for registration
- Not in organized sector: Should not be employed in any government or organized private sector job

Education Benefits (Meritorious Students)
Children of registered Sambal cardholders who pass Class 12 with good marks receive scholarships:

How to Register — Step-by-Step
Online Registration
- Visit Sambal portal: Go to sambal.mp.gov.in
- Click on "पंजीयन हेतु आवेदन करें" (Apply for Registration)
- Enter Samagra ID: Enter your Samagra family ID and individual member ID
- Verify details: Your name, address, and family details will auto-populate from the Samagra database
- Fill worker details: Select your occupation type (construction worker, street vendor, domestic worker, etc.)
- Upload documents: Upload Aadhaar, bank passbook, and photograph
- Submit application: Review and submit
- Gram Panchayat / Ward verification: Your application is verified at the local body level
- Sambal Card issued: After verification, your Sambal Card / registration number is generated
Offline Registration
- Visit your nearest Gram Panchayat (rural) or Nagar Palika / Ward office (urban)
- Collect the Sambal Yojana registration form
- Fill in details and attach required documents
- Submit at the Gram Panchayat / Ward office
- The Sarpanch / Ward member verifies your worker status
- Your application is forwarded to the district level for approval
Via Jan Seva Kendra / MP Online
- Visit your nearest Jan Seva Kendra or MP Online Kiosk

How to Claim Benefits
For Accidental Death / Disability:
- Log in to sambal.mp.gov.in
- Click on "दुर्घटना दावा" (Accident Claim)
- Enter Sambal Card number and Samagra ID
- Upload FIR, death certificate / disability certificate, hospital records
- Submit claim — it will be verified by the district collector's office
- Amount disbursed to nominee's bank account within 30-60 days
For Education Scholarship:
- After Class 12 results are declared, eligible students are auto-identified through the Sambal database
- Students can also apply through the portal with their marksheet and Sambal Card details
- Scholarship amount is transferred to student's bank account

Fees
