How to Apply — Step by Step

Step 1 — Apply Online

Go to msme.mponline.gov.in:

  1. Register with your Aadhaar and mobile number
  2. Login and select "Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana"
  3. Fill the application form with business details
  4. Upload all documents
  5. Submit and note the Application Reference Number

Step 2 — Application to Bank

After online submission, your application goes to the selected bank for processing. The bank:

  • Reviews your project report
  • Assesses your creditworthiness
  • Conducts interview/field visit

Step 3 — Loan Sanction

Bank sanctions the loan. The margin money (subsidy component) is earmarked in your loan account.

Step 4 — Business Setup

Use the loan to set up the business — purchase equipment, stock, or establish premises.

Step 5 — Margin Money Credit

After verifying that the loan has been used for the stated purpose:

  • The margin money (15% or 30% subsidy) is credited to your loan account by the MP government
  • This reduces your outstanding principal

How Margin Money Works

Example: Loan of ₹2,00,000

Component Amount
Total loan ₹2,00,000
Your margin money contribution ₹0 (margin money replaces your contribution)
Government subsidy (15%) ₹30,000 (credited to bank)
Net loan you repay ₹1,70,000

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Can a woman start a beauty parlour under this scheme?

Yes. Beauty parlours are eligible under the service category. Women get the enhanced 30% margin money subsidy.

2. I am 50 years old. Am I eligible?

No. The maximum age is 45 years. If you are above 45, you are not eligible for Mukhyamantri Swarojgar Yojana. Look at PMEGP (national scheme with 35 years limit) or other MP schemes.

3. Can I apply for a dairy farm under this scheme?

Dairy/animal husbandry based enterprises may qualify under the agri-processing category. Confirm with the District Industries Centre (DIC) before applying.

4. I was rejected once. Can I apply again?

Yes, after 6 months. Address the reason for rejection (credit history, incomplete documents, weak project plan) before reapplying.

5. Which bank should I go to?

After online application, you choose a bank. Nationalized banks, cooperative banks, and RRBs all participate. SBI, Central Bank of India, Bank of India, and UCO Bank are common in MP.
