Step 5 — Margin Money Credit
After verifying that the loan has been used for the stated purpose:
- The margin money (15% or 30% subsidy) is credited to your loan account by the MP government
- This reduces your outstanding principal
How Margin Money Works
Example: Loan of ₹2,00,000
| Component | Amount |
|---|---|
| Total loan | ₹2,00,000 |
| Your margin money contribution | ₹0 (margin money replaces your contribution) |
