1. My child goes to a private school. Can she get the CM Breakfast?

No. The scheme is for government school students only. Private school students are not included.

2. My child is in Class 6. Does she get breakfast?

The scheme started with Classes 1–5. Expansion to Class 6 and above is being phased in. Check with your school if Class 6 is now included in your district.

3. Do children also get the mid-day meal (PM POSHAN) in addition to breakfast?

Yes! Both PM POSHAN (lunch) and CM Breakfast Scheme (breakfast) operate in government schools. Children receive two meals per day at government primary schools in Tamil Nadu.

4. Who prepares the breakfast?

Breakfast is prepared by Women's Self Help Groups (SHGs) contracted by the school management committee. This also creates income for SHG members.
