What is the UMANG App?

UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) is the Government of India's super-app that provides access to 1,700+ government services from 200+ departments through a single mobile application. Developed by MeitY and NeGD, UMANG eliminates the need to visit multiple government websites or offices.

From checking your PF balance to filing income tax, from paying utility bills to tracking your passport — UMANG brings India's major government services to your smartphone.

How to Register

Step 1: Download the App

• Android: Download from Google Play Store (search "UMANG")
• iOS: Download from Apple App Store
• Web: Visit web.umang.gov.in

Step 2: Register

1. Open the app and click "Register"
2. Enter your mobile number
3. Verify through OTP
4. Set a 4-digit MPIN for security
5. Optionally link your Aadhaar for enhanced services
6. Registration is complete — you can now access services

Tracking Passport Application

1. Open UMANG → Search "Passport Seva"

Paying Utility Bills
