Voter Helpline App: How to Use for All Voter Services

The Voter Helpline App is the official mobile application by the Election Commission of India (ECI) that brings all voter services to your smartphone. From new voter registration to downloading e-EPIC, finding your polling booth, and filing grievances — everything is available in one app.

How to Download the Voter Helpline App

App requirements:

• Android 5.0 or above / iOS 12.0 or above
• Internet connection required
• Camera access (for photo upload)
• Location access (for polling booth finder)

How to Register on the App

1. Open the Voter Helpline App after installation
2. Tap "Register" or "Sign Up"
3. Enter your mobile number
4. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile
5. Fill in basic details — name, date of birth, state
6. If you already have an EPIC number, link it to your account
7. Set a password for future logins
8. Registration complete — you can now access all services

Key Services Available on the App

1. New Voter Registration (Form 6)

Apply for a new voter ID card directly through the app:

1. Open the app and go to "Register as New Voter" or "Form 6"
2. Fill in personal details — name, date of birth, gender, address
3. Upload your passport-size photo (see our photo requirements guide)
4. Upload age proof — birth certificate, Class 10 marksheet, or passport
5. Upload address proof — Aadhaar, utility bill, bank passbook, or ration card
6. Select your constituency and polling station area
7. Declare that the information is correct
8. Submit the form
9. Track your application status under "Track Application"

2. Voter ID Corrections (Form 8)

To correct details on your existing voter ID:

1. Go to "Correction in Entries" or "Form 8"
2. Select the field you want to correct (name, age, photo, address, etc.)
3. Upload supporting documents for the correction
4. Submit and track status

3. Address Change / Shifting (Form 6A / Form 8A)

If you've moved to a new address:

1. Go to "Shifting / Migration" or the appropriate form option
2. Enter your new address details
3. Upload address proof for the new location
4. Submit the form

4. Deletion Request (Form 7)

To request removal of a deceased person or someone who has shifted:

1. Go to "Objection / Deletion" or "Form 7"
2. Enter details of the person to be removed
3. Provide reason — death, shifting, duplicate entry
4. Upload supporting proof
5. Submit the request

5. Know Your BLO / ERO

Find your Booth Level Officer and Electoral Registration Officer:

1. Go to "Know Your BLO" or "Know Your Officials"
2. Enter your EPIC number or address details
3. The app will display your BLO's name and contact number
4. You can also find your ERO and District Election Officer details

6. Find Your Polling Booth

Locate your assigned polling station:

1. Go to "Polling Booth" or "Know Your Polling Station"
2. Enter your EPIC number or search by name and address
3. The app shows your polling station name, address, and map location
4. On election day, use this to navigate to your booth

7. Download e-EPIC

Get your digital voter ID card:

1. Go to "e-EPIC Download" section
2. Verify your identity with OTP sent to your registered mobile number
3. Download the e-EPIC as a PDF file
4. The e-EPIC includes a QR code and is valid as official ID proof

8. File a Grievance

Report election-related issues:

1. Go to "Grievance" section
2. Select the complaint category
3. Describe the issue in detail
4. Attach photos or documents if available
5. Submit and note your grievance tracking number
6. Track resolution status within the app

9. Electoral Search

Check your name in the voter list:

1. Go to "Search in Electoral Roll"
2. Search by EPIC number or by name and address
3. View your complete voter details including Part Number and Serial Number
4. Verify all details are correct before elections
