What is Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana?

Mukhyamantri Digital Seva Yojana (also known as Indira Gandhi Smartphone Yojana) is Rajasthan government's scheme to provide free smartphones with 3 years of internet connectivity to women — specifically the female head of each Chiranjeevi-enrolled family. The scheme aims to bridge the digital divide for women in Rajasthan.

Benefit:

• 1 free smartphone per eligible family (to the female head)
• 3 years of free internet data (via telecom partner)
• SIM card included

Who is Eligible?

Phase 1 — Already implemented:

• Women who are head of their family (per Jan Aadhaar records)
• Widowed women from IGNOAPS / IGNWPS
• Mahatma Gandhi NREGA women with 100 days' work in 2022–23
• Women from PM Jan Arogya Yojana families
• Women from Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Durghatna Insurance families

Phase 2 / Further phases:

• Govt school Girls (Class 9–12) and college girls
• Additional Chiranjeevi beneficiary families

The key check:

• The woman must be listed as family head in the Jan Aadhaar database
• If the man is the family head in Jan Aadhaar, the woman may not be included in Phase 1

Documents Required at Distribution Camp

1. Jan Aadhaar card — of the family
2. Aadhaar card — of the woman receiving the phone
3. Chiranjeevi card (if applicable)
4. Any supporting ID (voter card, NREGA job card)

No online application is needed — phone distribution happens at government camps (shivirs).

How to Get the Phone

Step 1 — Check if Your Family is Eligible

Go to cmdigitalseva.rajasthan.gov.in:

1. Enter your Jan Aadhaar number
2. Check if your family is in the eligible list
3. See the scheduled distribution camp date and location

Step 2 — Visit the Distribution Camp

Distribution happens through government shivirs (camps) at block/gram panchayat level. Camps are scheduled and announced in advance.

At the camp:

• Show Jan Aadhaar and Aadhaar of the woman
• The phone is issued in the woman's name
• SIM is activated at the camp

Step 3 — Register the Phone

At the camp, the VLE registers the phone with your details and issues a receipt.

2. How do I change the family head in Jan Aadhaar to my mother/wife?

3. The camp was scheduled in our village last month but I missed it. What do I do?

5. The 3 years of free internet — how much data?

The internet plan details vary by telecom partner (Jio/Airtel/Vi). Typically it includes daily data (1–2 GB/day) for 3 years. The SIM and plan are included at no cost.
