What is KALIA Yojana?

KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) Yojana is a flagship agricultural welfare scheme of the Odisha government. Launched in 2018, it provides financial support to small and marginal farmers, landless agricultural labourers, and vulnerable sections to help them with cultivation, livelihood, and insurance coverage.

Unlike PM-KISAN which focuses only on landholding farmers, KALIA also covers landless agricultural labourers and sharecroppers.

Who is Eligible?

Category 1: Small and Marginal Farmers

  • Cultivators with landholding up to 5 acres
  • Must be a resident of Odisha
  • Engaged in agriculture as a primary occupation

Category 2: Landless Agricultural Labourers
