Private hostel accommodation is generally not reimbursed. The scheme covers accommodation at institution-recognized hostels. Day scholars receive a lower maintenance allowance.

I changed college mid-year. What do I do?

Update your institution details on the scholarship portal immediately. Contact your district social welfare office for guidance on continuation of benefits.

Can I apply if my family income is exactly ₹2.5 lakh?

The limit is below ₹2.5 lakh — if the certificate shows ₹2.5L or above, you are not eligible. Some states have a slightly different threshold — check your state-specific scholarship guidelines.

In case of the father's death, the mother's income (or the main earner's income) is considered. Submit the death certificate of the father along with the income certificate of the actual earner.

Yes — post-graduation and professional courses like LLB, MBA, MCA are covered. Apply for PMS for each new course enrollment.

Is there an age limit?

No official age limit for SC Post Matric Scholarship — the focus is on the course level and income, not age.
