Your mother (woman, 55+) is eligible — yes. Your father (man, 58 required) is not yet eligible at 56. He can apply when he turns 58.

2. My father has a small pension of ₹500 from a private employer. Is he eligible?

Vridhjan Samman Pension is for those with no regular income source. A private employer pension (even small) may make him ineligible — consult with the local SDO or E-Mitra operator for clarification.

3. I applied 3 months ago but the status says "pending at SDO." What do I do?

Visit the SDO office directly with your application number. Delays at SDO level are common. You can also contact the District Social Welfare Officer.

4. My grandmother receives ₹750/month but she is now 76 years old. Should she get ₹1,000?

Yes. At age 75+, the pension increases to ₹1,000/month. This upgrade should happen automatically, but if not, visit the E-Mitra centre to update age records.
