The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) conducts the combined competitive examination (CCE) to recruit officers for various administrative services in Bihar. Commonly known as BPSC PCS, this exam is the gateway to prestigious posts like Deputy Collector, DSP, and other Group A and Group B services in the Bihar state government.
BPSC conducts numbered examinations (e.g., 67th, 68th, 69th BPSC) and has become increasingly competitive with lakhs of candidates appearing in recent years.

- Bihar domicile required for reserved category posts
- General category candidates from any state can apply for unreserved posts

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination

The optional paper carries 300 marks โ one-third of total Mains marks. Choose a subject with shorter syllabus and higher scoring potential. Hindi Literature and History are popular choices.
